I've been using a VPN on my Windows laptop for a while, and recently I started checking how much information websites can see about my connection. Most IP checking sites show the VPN address, which is what I expected, but one browser privacy test displayed another address under WebRTC. I wasn't sure whether that was something from my home network or a sign that the VPN wasn't protecting everything. I tried the same test in Chrome and Firefox and got slightly different results, which only confused me more. I use my browser for video meetings pretty regularly, so I don't want to disable anything that might break calls. How can I tell whether those extra addresses are actually exposing my connection, and what should I check before changing browser settings?
