We bought a small acreage last year, and everything seemed completely normal until the weather started warming up. Now there is a strange smell outside near one corner of the property, but there are no obvious leaks or standing water. The smell comes and goes, which makes it even harder to figure out whether it is connected to something underground. I also noticed that the area looks slightly wetter than the rest of the yard after rain. What would you check first in a situation like this?
